J-Wall Smarthome Central Building Guide

Test of the Smarthome control in practice …

That’s it, the J-Wall control panel for smarthome control is mounted!

But of course we can’t leave it like that 🙂 To ensure that the transition to the wallpaper is as flush as possible and the whole thing looks a bit nicer, we tape off the tablet with an old protective film, for example, and fill the transitions to the wall with some white acrylic. As soon as the acrylic is dry, simply paint some more WandColour over it and the central house control is ready.

Here you can see very nicely how you can set up the J-Wall Smarthome control. Of course, we will also show you exactly how to do this and which apps you need.

Since we naturally had some concerns about how a tablet would behave in a wall in the long run, we warmed up the wall a bit and let the tablet run for a few hours to check the heat development with the thermal imaging camera. The result is impressive, because even at a wall temperature of 24-25°C, the maximum temperature at the voltage transformers was just under 30°C, which should not be a problem for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 10.1 even in 24/7 continuous operation.

Of course, we would also like to briefly discuss the necessary power consumption, because after all, the new J-Wall Smarthome control panel should run 24 hours a day. Depending on the state of charge of the integrated battery, you need about 4-5 watts of power and in idle with reduced luminosity without recharging the battery, the power consumption even goes below 1-2 watts. So this is a great and cost effective solution for 24/7 operation!
